Hearts Connect Initiative (HCI) presents "Peace Keeping and Humanitarian Relief Walk" tagged "Human Rights & Protection of the Girl Child" schedule to hold July 30th 2016 (Take off Ikotun Market). The walk for peace for "Promoting Human Rights and Protecting the Girl Child" has been making wave around, you might want to know one or two things about this walk. Let us take a walk together then.
Background: Peacekeeping has proven to be one of the most EFFECTIVE tools available to the UN to assist countries navigate the difficult path from conflict to peace. Peacekeeping has unique strengths, including legitimacy, burden sharing, and an ability to deploy and sustain troops from around the globe, integrating them with civilian peacekeepers to advance multidimensional mandates.
To this end, Hearts Connect Initiative (HCI) also known as World Hearts Connect founded on the 16th of June 2015 (officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in 2016) aims to raise Peacekeepers and provide humanitarian relief by realizing both the “strengths and the weakness” of the people, promoting the former by building an environment for learning and application and providing resources for its sustenance. We aim to start by doing a walk for Peace.

Objective: The peace keeping and humanitarian relief walk tends to create awareness for gender-based violence and human rights in turn raising peace keepers who will push for and cause great relief for humanity.
Outcome: The Programme will contribute to the solution to violence such as gender based violence and environmental uproar to promote human rights using peaceful open walks, souvenirs, video recorded feedbacks and sign-ups to commemorate the day. It will serve as a reminder that there’s need to protect the girl child and every human has a right. Also it will show that youths are actively concerned about the society’s shape and will do all that can be done to relieve it. Again this project is out to simply create more awareness—educating the public on how to treat and to be treated for every human is precious. Finally, the reports would be shared on social media.
