According to the Bible, in the end-times, expect widespread deception, counterfeit miracles, and the appearance of false prophets (tell me these things are not manifesting already). We put together some signs the Bible talks about that are happening around us already.
The Institution of marriage would be forsaken by many - I Timothy 4:3
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
Earthquakes - Mathew 24:7
Although Nigeria is not located within the major seismic zones of the world; over the years, several minor earthquakes have been experienced in some parts of the country most notably the Kaduna earthquake that happened some days ago. According to Dr. Adepelumi Adekunle Abraham of the Department of Geology, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, the following states: Lagos, Port Harcourt, Warri, Bayelsa, Cross River and Oyo are flagged with the possibility of experiencing earthquake disaster.
The Bible says:
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
According to the Bible, one of the end-time signs is the presence of fake pastors all around. These days, we hear fake pastors on a daily basis. We hear them on Radio, see them on TV, in our environment etc. These smooth talkers talk their way into people's hearts. They have many followers and slur the Christian faith.
See II Peter 2:1-3:
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. - KJVThe Future would seem fearful to many - Luke 21:26
I was discussing various things happening in our generation (at the moment) with a friend (a man that is as old as my father) some days ago, we came to a conclusion which was: "we are afraid for the generation to come". Are you not afraid of what to come if these things happening right now is not the worst to come?
26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
