Despite the Nigerian law against abortion, (the Nigerian laws make it one of the most restrictive countries regarding abortion) and the fact that the people of Nigeria is considered among the most religious in the world, the abortion rate in the country continues to increase daily.
A Public Health Scientist, Suzanne Bell said the abortion rate by women of reproductive age in Nigeria has risen between 1.8 and 2.7 million in recent times. Mrs Bell, who made the disclosure at a dissemination exercise of the Performance Monitoring and Accountability 2020 (PMA 2020) in Abuja, said that the rise was as a result of unintended pregnancies.
Fully concerned about the rate of abortion, and the danger that comes with it, Nigerian gospel musician, Soulpee Gambo releases a passionate message to women of reproductive age worldwide. He titled it, Dear Judith.
