Anthony Ani Offiong otherwise known as Ani D’Blessed is a skilled vocalist, lyricist and recording artiste from Ikoneto in Odukpani, Cross River State, Nigeria.
Born to a music-loving family in Calabar, Cross River State where he was raised as a Christian and exposed to music through the church choir and his Fathers music tapes which were mostly Afrobeat and Reggae songs. His primary genres are Hip Hop, Reggae and Dancehall.
He started recording songs in 2012 and became the lead songwriter for a now-defunct gospel music group known as DAX Gospel. The group was soon given an award as the Best Gospel Music Group at the Calabar Gospel Music Awards in 2014, together they ministered in many events – being a blessing to youths in the city of Calabar.
Today, Ani D’Blessed is a solo independent artist and he makes meaningful music as inspired by the Holy Spirit. Download, Share and Listen to his new song titled Plate of Rice.
The song, Plate of Rice can be described as a playful song that carries a serious message; one of hope and of encouragement for the times we are currently in.
According to Ani D’Blessed; as individuals and especially as Christians around the world at a time like this when uncertainty surrounds us, the devil will want to try to steal our joy but we must put our trust in Jesus – our help in ages past and our hope for years to come. He is the author and finisher of our faith and will never leave the righteous forsaken.
This should be our confidence, even as we reposition ourselves to be able to fit into and provide value in the new world we will all be a part of after this pandemic is over.
