Gratitude means thanks and appreciation, and gratitude is the quality or feeling of being grateful or thankful. The song Gratitude is all about appreciation and thanksgiving.
The singer realized that despite all we are passing through God deserves to be praised. The word of God says:
"give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's will in Christ Jesus"
If we aren't grateful for what God has given us, getting more won't satisfy us either. Being thankful is the key to contentment. When you acknowledge God for what he has done it triggers Him to do more. Whatever we thank God for multiplies.
Many times we fall short of showing our appreciation to God, we commonize his blessings and we are much better at grumbling and complaining than giving thanks. Sometimes we take God's goodness for granted. The things you take for granted someone else is praying for, If you haven't all the things you want, be grateful for all God has done, he is doing and will do.
