The Experience Lagos, Africa's largest Christian Music Concert, is set to return for its 18th edition at the iconic 55,000-capacity Tafawa Balewa Square. The highly anticipated event, which is free to attend, will take place on Friday, December 8, 2023, starting at 7 PM and will continue until the break of dawn on Saturday, December 9, 2023.
The 18th edition of The Experience Lagos carries the theme "Jesus Our Way Maker," and it promises to be a night of worship, unity, and transformation for individuals from diverse backgrounds and beliefs. This annual concert provides a unique platform where attendees can freely worship their creator without inhibitions, fostering harmony and unity in a world seeking spiritual connection.
At the press conference held at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, key figures in the gospel music community and the event's organizers were in attendance, including the convener, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, and his wife, Pastor Ifeanyi Adefarasin. Also present were renowned gospel musicians who will be performing at the event, such as Travis Greene, Naomi Raine, Nathaniel Bassey, Sinach, Dunsin Oyekan, Donnie McClurkin, William McDowell, Ada Ehi, Tim Godfrey, Onos Ariyo, Prinx Emmanuel, Moses Bliss, Adeyinka Alaseyori, Mr M and Revelation, Tope Alabi, Timi Dakolo, The Lagos Metropolitan Gospel Choir, and The Rock Cathedral Gospel Choir.
During his speech, Pastor Paul Adefarasin expressed the journey of The Experience as one "defined by faith, unity, collaboration, and powerfully transformative moments." Donnie McClurkin, a gospel music icon, described The Experience as the most life-changing event of his career, having attended every edition since its inception.
One of the international performers, Naomi Raine, shared her excitement about being part of The Experience for the first time and treated the audience to a stunning solo performance of "His Eye Is on the Sparrow."
