"The song was written after a very difficult few months. I lost my mum suddenly in December 2023, and my siblings and I had to immediately prepare for her burial without any prior savings or preparation. But God provided for us miraculously, and as I began to reflect on everything, I realized how good God had been to me through it all. Despite the pain, I could count numerous blessings in my life—starting a new job, entering a fulfilling relationship, and seeing financial improvements. In the end, ‘Being Good’ is a testimony of how God remains faithful, even when we are surrounded by loss and uncertainty."

Josh O’maiye's journey in gospel music is rooted in his upbringing. Raised by parents who were church ministers, Josh spent his early years listening to gospel greats like Donnie McClurkin, Hezekiah Walker, and John P. Kee. His love for music began at the age of 7, performing on stage and honing his craft as a gospel rock singer and worship leader. During his university years, Josh was a member of the Nigerian Fellowship of Evangelical Students (NIFES), where he served as Music Director for over two years.
Despite having a career outside music, Josh has always maintained his commitment to his faith and music ministry, releasing soul-lifting songs that inspire believers worldwide. His previous single, "Goshen," released in 2023 and featuring Philipage, received widespread praise for its message of divine protection and provision.
Josh currently serves in the choir at The Elevation Church, Maryland, where he continues to inspire worshippers with his powerful, spirit-filled performances.
